"man waIks into a bar with a giraffe. the giraffe faIIs over. the man goes to Ieave and the barman says "oi! you can't Ieave that Iying there." he says "no, it's not a Iion. lt's a giraffe"."the only joke in this movie is a joke that only works in british accent. the first hour is kinda slow, but not too bad. just don't know what the theme is, what they are trying to say and the flow of the movie. it may become a bad film or an ordinary film. but the following hour is getting better and better, especially since the scene of Jim get beat by the captain. i knew the zombie, which was used to carry out the experiment, would kill the soldiers when they had started to turn bad. although studying zombies is a right thing to do, the characters always get killed by this in the movie world. isn't it because it is like a karma and it's more dramatic? when i saw the doctor (Christopher Eccleston, the 9th doctor), i never thought that he would be bad, i thought that he came to save the characters and the world. but the true is ugly, people is suck, the world is worse (before or after 28 days). like one of the film's theme. the end is bright, and i glad for that. i heard there have 2 version of the ending, the other one is sad. sometime the sad ending can improve the movie, even in those case i still want the ending is happy.
4.5; Never before have I seen a zombie film with so many layers. The symbolic meaning of the infection is announced from the very beginning through footage and words to be 'rage', and the violence induced by it henceforward becomes the centre of the film's criticism. But what adds to the film's complexity is the fact that the protagonist is empowered only by rage to fight for those he loves and defeat the purposeless soldiers, who by contrast fight for nothing but themselves. The film thus indicates a place for violence in humanity and hints that violence is not inherently the abject. It also draws a comparison between two archetypes of fatherhood: permissive & autocratic
Cillian Murphy
